Policies and standards

Foreman Laws was one of the first legal practices in the country to be credited with the Lexcel standard, the Law Society quality assurance mark. We are inspected annually to ensure compliance with this standard, assuring you of the best possible quality of service at all times.

For the guidance of clients and staff we set out below the fundamental policies that we have adopted:-

  • to ensure that each case is executed from original instructions to completion in a manner that sets and maintains a standard of reliability and service consistent with or exceeding our clients' legitimate requirements and expectations;
  • to remain independent at all times in terms of the advice given to clients and to remain genuinely independent from finders, introducers, groups of clients and other interests;
  • to meet or exceed the targets for growth, stability and profitability set out from time to time in the firm's Business Plan for the benefit of all stakeholders in Foreman Laws;
  • to remain flexible in Business Planning and to seek to achieve consensus in policy making;
  • to provide a clear documented system of practice management and quality assurance;
  • to recognise that the people engaged in the delivery of the firm's objectives are the firm's most important asset and to provide a framework, and encouragement, for the continued development of all members of the firm;
  • to maintain for the benefit of all stakeholders professional indemnity insurance cover in accordance with S.37 of the Solicitors Act 1974 for not less than £10 million
