Foreman Laws' History

Foreman Laws was formed in 1971 as a sole practice that dealt mainly with property work.

A relocation within Hitchin sparked a shift in emphasis towards more commercial matters and in 1979 Foreman Laws moved to its current location at 25 Bancroft.

This move proved to be the catalyst which led to the rapid expansion of the firm and whilst it retained their specialism in commercial conveyancing, particularly areas relating to house building, the development and growth of all current practice areas occurred.

As part of this expansion Foreman Laws acquired a company providing corporate trustee services, CGA Trustee and Executor Company Limited. This company continues to operate under the management of Foreman Laws.

Foreman Laws, which since April 2011 became a modern Limited Liability Partnership, now boasts a range of practice areas that provide their clients with a full range of legal services to cater for both their business and personal needs.

In delivering these services Foreman Laws have been committed to providing the  highest possible standards. This commitment is highlighted by the fact that Foreman Laws was one of the first firms of solicitors in the country to obtain Lexcel accreditation, the practice management standard for law firms.

In order to facilitate these high standards and maintain their Lexcel accreditation the practice now operates from some 9000 square feet of interlinked offices and combines quality and committed personnel with state of the art systems and procedures.
